cool stuff

Earlier this week, Home Leisure Direct went to visit Ryan Jenkins, one of Britain's top table tennis players to film some playing advice and demonstrations and share them with you.

Jenkins has an impressive awards history having won the Welsh Championships 11 times, won gold, silver and bronze Commonwealth Medals, the British Championships twice and is currently the national table tennis coach for Wales.

Jenkins does a lot of coaching for all ages, all over the world, and showed us some really great playing techniques from grip of the paddle and stance, to shot techniques. We have started to upload these videos, and there are many more to come.

Table tennis is a really accessible sport and is great fun for all abilities and ages - Jenkins started playing when he was 7 years old in a local sports centre for kids. It is a game that is truly enjoyable at any level and for this reason has become really popular nationwide in recent years. It has also been helped along by table tennis in the Olympics, the film Ping Pong - never too old for gold, which follows real OAPs competing in the World Veterans Championship and initiatives like Ping! where outdoor table tennis tables were placed around selected cities in the UK for the public to play on them for free.

So whatever your age or playing standard, you will find lots of useful playing tips in our series of videos on our Home Leisure Direct YouTube channel. There are still more videos to come, so keep your eye out for those in the next week.
