We’re delighted to announce that Home Leisure Direct have won another award! At last week’s ECMOD Awards 2016, at The Hurlingham Club in London, we were over the moon to come away with the award for Best Website.
Having been told in mid-May that we had been shortlisted for an award, Andy and Ben were excited to travel to London for the awards evening last weekend. Aside from the possibility of winning an award, we always look forward to the evening awards events, as they are a great opportunity to meet other like-minded business owners and employees who constantly strive to make their companies successful through innovation and an entrepreneurial attitude. It’s also a chance for our team to enjoy themselves and celebrate their continued hard work over dinner and drinks.
The black tie event at The Hurlingham Club didn’t fail to impress as the venue and the guests looked fabulous dressed up for the evening and sat down to dinner after a drinks reception. When the time came to calling out the shortlisted entires for each award before announcing the winners, it was clear that the standard of entries from companies in every category was extremely high.
It was a tense moment when the entries were called for the Best Overall Website category and our logo popped up on the presentation screen alongside the other shortlisted entries. But soon enough the rest of the Home Leisure Direct team, waiting patiently in Bristol, received a message at 10.30pm that night from Andy and Ben to say we’d won!
Back at the Hurlingham Club, Andy and Ben were thrilled to receive the trophy, presented by the well known British TV presenter Dermot Murnaghan, and to be named Best Overall Website against such tough competition.
