We have commissioned one of the finest pool table manufacturers in the UK to build Home Leisure Direct our very own pool dining table model which we have named ‘The Oxford’. We have designed the Oxford to have a very sleek design that would work in a modern home. We have steered away from fussy details and a turned leg design which has fallen out of fashion and wanted to design a pool dining table that had a classic design that would not look dated in 5 years time.
We have specifically chosen the best features of our pool dining table range to create a market leading product. All of our Oxford tables come with real steel adjustable feet and corners that you can further customise in either a polished chrome or brass finish.
The two piece dining top on this model is secured in place with metal dowels along the join, something you simply do not find on a pool dining table until you look at our luxury range where tables start from £2700.
The Oxford comes in five popular finishes; Oak, Light Walnut, Dark Walnut, Black and White. We offer over 30 different cloth options on this table as well as our Official Jack Daniels Pool cloth as an optional extra.
The model we have on display in our Bristol showroom is in Light Walnut (Our best selling finish) with our Jack Daniels cloth. It is an extremely stylish combination and has been extremely popular.
The table plays exceptionally well and there is no compromise in terms of game play for having a pool table in a diner model. A pool diner has all the characteristics of a regulation pool table but with a slim cabinet in order to neatly tuck your legs under when dining. They are the optimum height for both playing and eating with a 60-62cm rise from the floor to the underside of the table.
We have found more and more customers are leaning towards pool dining tables for their homes. Not everyone has the room for a games room and quite often like to get a couple of uses out of their new purchase. Even customers with games rooms quite often prefer the design of some of our diners. Quite often their slim bodies look more contemporary and are ideal for customers who are looking for a pool table to compliment their environment rather than look ‘pubby’.
Either way, you will get the same game from a diner as you would a commercial pool table. It is just down to personal choice and what works best for your living environment.
