Raising Money for Bristol Mind

At Home Leisure Direct, we are hosting events throughout the year to raise £10,000 for Bristol Mind, a charity that makes a huge difference to those suffering from mental health and mental wellbeing issues. We understand the pain and trauma of losing someone to mental illness and are determined to make a difference in the statistics.

Michelle (Meesh) Beresford was our Managing Director at Home Leisure Direct Ltd, and also a beloved wife, daughter, sister and aunt to her family and a dear friend to so many. Meesh suffered for many years with severe mental health issues, she tried so hard to overcome them but on 1st March 2022 at 39 yrs old, they all became too much and Meesh ended her own life. In her honour, and all those whom we have lost, Home Leisure Direct will be hosting a series of events to raise money and awareness for Bristol Mind.

Planned charity events include rambling through a Tough Mudder event, facing fears with skydiving, and even a Poolathon hosted by Ben Flack, Current England International and former World Masters and European Champion. We have also secured some big names to appear and play Pool – keep tuned for more announcements! We will be holding auctions and competitions alongside Ben’s game; we have managed to secure some incredible signed goodies.

Ben Flack will also be joining us for our Tough Mudder, on Saturday 21st August, at The Badminton Estate GL9 1DD. Our team will be battling through ten miles of mud and obstacles! If you would like to watch to cheer and support, you can get your tickets here. Stay tuned for photos!
