These tables have been hand built in the UK for over 25 years. During this time it has allowed the manufacturer to continually refine and enhance the playability of this table which is what makes this table the players choice.
The table we have decided to display is the best selling Black Pearl finish. The satin black makes for a contemporary colour choice and compliments almost every colour of cloth. The table we have on display in our showroom has been slightly tweaked from the standard options available. We have decided to opt for an Electric Blue Elite pro cloth by Hainsworth on this table which is sometimes called a Speed Cloth. Typically this is more common on an American table however there are a lot of pool leagues up and down the country who have adopted this style of cloth as standard over the past couple of years.
The reason being is that most players are used to playing on a table in a pub that may not have been maintained with regular re-clothing. A busy commercial table ought to be reclothed, at the very least, every 6 months. An older cloth will play a lot quicker as the nap of the wool have worn creating less friction on the ball resulting in a faster game.
The thing to bear in mind when purchasing an English pool table is if you prefer a faster game, go for an Elite Pro Speed cloth as playing on a brand new pool table can feel a little bit slow to begin with. Unless you will be playing daily on your new table, the cloth could take 12+ months to wear and speed up. We can always re-cloth your table in the future but this is something worth thinking about when purchasing a pool table from us.
