We’re delighted to announce that Home Leisure Direct have won yet another award! No doubt due to our excellent range of pool tables! At last week’s ECMOD Awards 2018 (now in their 20th year), held once again at The Hurlingham Club in London, we were honoured with the award for the Gifts, Gadgets, Hobbies and Home Entertainment category.
While we have a slew of awards under our belts already, it's always a great honour to be nominated at the prestigious ECMOD Awards, so we sent our managing director Andy Beresford and head of marketing Jessica Philpott to London for the black tie event. Andy and Jess enjoyed the opportunity to meet other like-minded business owners and employees, rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in direct commerce, and take in the atmosphere of a big awards show.
The Hurlingham Club is always an impressive venue, and Andy and Jess were treated to dinner after a drinks reception. The standard of entries was as high as ever, and with some big names in the running, we knew that we had some stiff competition for the award.
Also picking up awards were our friends Adam and Al from Infinity Nation. As you can see, Al is in charge of carrying the award, while Adam was tasked with carrying a decent quantity of booze.
Adam also managed to get hold of our camera and snap a selfie before Andy could get it back!
With the tension building, the nominees were announced in the Gifts, Gadgets, Hobbies and Home Entertainment category, and after a dramatic pause we were delighted to hear the announcement that Home Leisure Direct had won!
Andy and Jess were thrilled to receive the trophy, hard-fought but well-deserved, and to walk away with the award despite facing such tough competition.
