We are always being asked in the office about how easy it is to install one of our Pool Tables. We always provide a professional 2 man pool table fitting service with all of our tables that are being installed, something that is very rare in our industry. We take pride in the quality of our workmanship, the gentleman that come to the property to install your table have years of experience in this field and Delivering, Fitting, Reclothing Pool and Snooker Tables is ALL they do! We truly offer a specialist service which is what you should come to expect when purchasing such a specialist and bespoke product.
So, allow me to tell you a little bit about how the pool tables come. This is just a general rule of thumb, all tables will be slightly different but the same basic principals apply.
Most pool tables are supplied in three main parts being:
- The Legs (along with all the blots and leg levellers)
- The frame or body of the table
- The slate (which is already covered with your chosen cloth)
The sheer size of the table is what proves the biggest problem when installing the pool table yourself. Dependant on the model of pool table you have chosen there are some table bodies that are far deeper than others making them tricky at times to take around corners and up or downstairs. The slate is also incredibly heavy as this is where the weight of the table comes from. The slate is generally anything from 3/4" upwards and weight in excess of 125kg so moving it will need two able bodied people to do it safely.
If you do chose to install your own pool table purchased from us be sure to lift correctly bending your legs as they can result in some damage should you not take precautions. There are lots of resources online showing you how to lift safely so if you are in any doubt please take the time to read through some of the fantastic resources available on the internet.
We have put together a video of our our qualified installers putting together a Supreme Winner Pool Table. Even if you have selected one of our other tables they are all installed in a similar fashion so it will accurately give you and idea of what it takes to fit your own Pool Table or Pool Dining Table. Our Luxury Pool Tables all come with Installation as standard as these are far more complex to put together and generally have a slate that comes in more than one piece.
Please have a look at this video if you have any questions about how to put together your table. It is around six minutes long and we have tried to condense it as much as possible to give you and accurate idea of what is involved when it comes to a Pool Table installation.
By now you should have an idea of what is involved when it comes to installing your Pool Table. This installation took our fully qualified installers approximately 45 minutes so I would set aside a good hour and a half should you choose to install the table yourself. It is not impossible to do however what we do is provide you with a professional job.
The trickiest part when installing the table yourself is getting the level correct. In the video you will have seen our guys testing the level with a spirit measure, lifting the table at one end and adjusting the leg levellers. Getting this perfect is very important as playing with an uneven table will effect your game. Our installers will show you how to do this when then come as it is something you will need to do throughout the life of your table.
All of our pool tables come with free delivery and the tables will be delivered by the same 2 man delivery teams, they will not however be able to install your table on the day should you wish to upgrade this once they deliver it. If you think you may need the table installed we will need you to either select that option when ordering your table or calling us up at least 3 days before to book it in a pay for the additional cost.
Our installation service is £99.00 to ground floor only. This includes:
- 2 man professional installation
- Removal of all packaging
- The opportunity to ask any maintenance questions you might have
- They will show you how to level the table
- AM or PM delivery slot once the table is made
- We are also able to call you on the day and let you know when we are on route to give you opportunity to get back home rather than wait in all day. (Our customers love this!)
Upstairs, downstairs and other restricted installations are possible but you will need to call the office for an accurate quote. We are also able to uninstall tables to relocate, recover pool and snooker tables or uninstall and put your table into storage (short term) if you are decorating or moving home.
