The Brief
Pizza Pilgrims is an über trendy, family-owned chain of Pizza restaurants and social spots. Predominantly in London but now branching out across the rest of the UK, the restaurants have a fantastic blend of authentic Italian pizzerias and American Barcades with a focus on great ingredients and fun times.
We have been fortunate enough to work on several projects with the guys at Pizza Pilgrims - most recently their West Indian Quay restaurant and also their first venture outside of London in Oxford.
The Solution
The following gaming product options were provided as a solution to the clients particular needs:
Bonzini Half Giant Foosball Table
Pizza Pilgrims were after something a little different for this project. They house a smaller, more intimate area downstairs which suits group bookings perfectly for competitive socialising games. The centrepiece is the audacious Bonzini Half Giant Football table. This is the smaller brother of the full giant but still a ridiculous 3.5 meters in length and allowing teams of 4-8 players to play against each other.
They customised the table further with a glass dining top allowing use as a dining table as well. Super cool.
No Fear Pinball Machine
Within their Pizza Playground is a Super Mario den with a Nintendo Switch to get the whole group involved, but they were looking to add in something unique. We recommended The No Fear Pinball machine. Designed by famed pinball designer Steve Richie, this game is fast-paced and great fun.
Custom Classic Arcade Machines
Custom Classic Arcade - Arcade machines are a staple in many Pizza Pilgrims restaurants. The challenge is original machines from the ’80s and ’90s are just too unreliable and new multi-game emulator cabinets are not licensed for a commercial environment.
We have created the answer to their vision with a fantastic hybrid option. The custom cabinet is brand new and specially reinforced for commercial environments. It has the benefit of new LCD screens, wiring, controls, and internals so there is no risk of dodgy old wires hiding. But the game board itself is original, meaning it is fully licensed for use in commercial environments. There is no compromise for the player, our arcade cabinet plays as it should, which is not the case for some emulated games.
Shuffleboard
Shuffleboard has grown exponentially in popularity since we launched it in the UK in 2016. Our most popular model is the Signature Marlowe - With a solid wood cabinet and Canadian Maple board this is ideal for commercial environments. The game is designed for 2-8 players and is ideal for group bookings, increasing dwell time, and F&B sales.
Performance
As with all their gaming options, Pizza Pilgrims have everything set to free-play. Customers can enjoy excellent value for money and get stuck into friendly competition over a drink and pizza. For the business side, the games increase customers’ dwell time and F&B sales while also offering a market-leading POD.
