Step into the grandeur of John Potts games room and admire the magnificence of his design. The professional finish of this games room has taken him through to the final stages of Games Room of the Year 2021. Even before lockdown John's games room was a favourite hang-out space for friends and family, but during the recent pandemic it has become more important than ever to spend time with loved ones rather than going to the local pubs and clubs. Friends love John's space so much, they encouraged him to enter the competition, so he did, and is now a finalist!
Taking centre stage is John's pride and joy, the Rasson Victory II American Pool table. The Victory II is a high-grade commercial table with tournament quality spec, making it a perfect choice for John's luxury games room. It features a unique pedestal alongside "V" shaped legs with a very contemporary style. John says that without any doubt the Rasson Victory II pool table is his favourite part of his games room: "We had the apron finished in grey to match the cloth and I love it!
Not only does John have a quality pool table in his games room, but also a home cinema with a projector and ultra-comfy sofa to watch all the blockbuster movies and big games. The wall is a tribute to all of john's favourite sports players and clubs with plenty of signed memorabilia.
This games room also has its very own champagne bar with top-end Moet & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot bottles. If it's spirits you're interested in, then there are gins, vodkas, and whiskey a plenty, plus an enormous Jim Bean 4.5 litre Bourbon whiskey. All of this is set to make a brilliant night at john's place.
We asked John how long it took for the room to be created, but it sounds like it will be and ever-evolving: "it continues to change but the home cinema, bar, pool table and memorabilia were all in there in six months. I’m looking to add to my memorabilia collection all of the time! I’m a huge boxing and football fan so my friends and family know exactly what to get me for Christmas’s and birthdays!"
We wish John the best of luck in the competition with his uber-trendy games room!
