At the beginning of the 20th century, Chevillotte's line of billiards products experienced a rapid development, due to the increased popularity of the game in France.
At the time there were more than a thousand billiards 'Academies' in Paris, compared with less than ten today.
This poster captures the fashionable times for the game of carom, played by the aristocracy both male and female. Then, as it is today, a game of pool is a great social sport, enabling all ages to enjoy the game with friends and family.
The Chevillotte showroom is still in the same location in Paris: 27 Boulevard Malesherbes 75008 Paris
|
In 1960, Chevillotte introduced their Europa model, and today the latest revision of this model is still the reference table for competition.

After 1970, Chevillotte began to focus on private individuals and their own personal pool table requirements.

The Chevillotte production factory in Orléans, built in 1978, remains an exemplary production facility in Europe. |
