Once we have rounded up all the entries for this year's competition, our in-house team of games room experts will choose 10 of the best games rooms to shortlist. They will get in touch with each of these lucky 10 to gain more information and to compile some awesome entry posts for the public to vote on.
Once the shortlist of entries is announced, voting will begin on the Games Room of the Year page at Home Leisure Direct. The public are free to vote on whichever room they deem the most worthy!
Once the voting has finished on 22nd October, we will count up the votes and announce the winner at the end of October - and pass over the grand prize of £1,000 cash.
We know that everyone's got their own take on how to build the best games room ever, so we don't take any preferential treatment for those who like neons over rustic vibes, folks who wanted a personal snooker hall versus a fully stocked arcade, or even family games rooms versus home bars.
However, some pointers are always welcome so here's a few tips on what we look out for:
- At least one games room product (pool table, snooker table, arcade machine, table tennis table, football table, jukebox, air hockey table, shuffleboard, skeeball, darts set)
- Something awesome that's unique to your games room - a particular style, unique item, super collection, weird location, etc
- A room that showcases your personality
Entries close on Sunday 24th September 2023.
The shortlist will be announced on 13th October, which is when voting will commence. Voting closes on 30th October 2023 at midnight (BST time).
